yeah, it looked like something... like, ripped it off [ she has to sit and stare into the void for a minute after typing that ftr ] and then cauterized it somehow. but i think whoever did it strangled her first and what happened after with the head was... for show
They'd need someone to strangle them, someone to rip off the heads, someone to cauterize the wounds (magically because they were so jagged and messed up), someone to take the smaller pieces off, someone to compel or soothe them, since there weren't signs of a struggle.
